The Story of Roadrunner, Fluffy, King of the Brooder, Hippy Chick, Diamond, Chicken Little, Peeper, Pooch, Mr. Little Black Eyes, Speedy, Sprinkles, Peanut and Papa John

Mrs. Boring's Kindergarten class put 24 eggs in an incubator on April 14 (it takes about 21 days for eggs to hatch).  On May 4 a few of the chicks made their "pips"(first hole they make in the shell).  When we came to school on May 5 a few of the chicks had hatched.  Over the next few days we were able to see some of the chicks hatch out of the egg.  By May 7 we had 13 baby chicks.  The children were very excited and decided to name each chick .  They also asked Fr. Tom to baptize the chicks. One of the children said, "this way now we know the chicks are Catholic."  The Kindergarten Class of 2009 are proud to present the arrival of their chicks.
